Caloosa Veterinary Medical Society has contributed to the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine Dean’s Circle – and is proud to announce that we are now a Lifetime Member. We provide annual scholarships to veterinary technicians. We encourage involvement in the Florida Veterinary Medical Association, who represents the interest of all veterinarians in Florida. The CVMS also offers seminars throughout the year to our members beyond annual conferences.
The CVMS sponsors other educational causes concerning the profession, including donations to related organizations such as the Animal Refuge Center (A.R.C.) in Fort Myers, the Center for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (C.R.O.W.) on Sanibel Island, and Lee County Public Schools. We seek to provide new ways to support the community, and are open to providing counsel on matters related to animal welfare, wildlife and the environment, and educational endeavors. The primary purpose for which this organization is formed is to provide continuing education for veterinarians, certified and non-certified veterinary technicians, and other non-technical veterinary personnel.
